Anti Bullying Day – February 20th

Our school has been running an anti-bullying program for grades 1-5 since September. During class, Ms. Violette discussed different types of bullying, prevention, and defense against bullies. We are now turning this knowledge into actual skills, by starting a project called “Making the world a better place”. Every day, we will be bringing acts of kindness, compassion and speaking up into reality. We will mark February 20th as the Anti Bullying Day. Please come wearing pink.

If you have any questions, please approach Ms. Violette.

Reading and Writing

In the previous term our students showed great progress. The exams and the projects showed how far and how well they progressed. This term grades 1-5 will continue working on reading comprehension, how to point out the main idea, and how to extract additional information from hints and “reading between the lines”. This term they will continue working with Mrs. Violette on writing assignments, to improve their writing skills.

UMCA wishes you all a great weekend!!!
