Dear Students and Parents,
Highlands Nordic Ski Trip
Tomorrow is the day we all waited for! Our students grades 3-7 are going to Highlands Nordic for a cross country ski trip!
There are no classes on this day for students who are not attending the trip. For grades 1 and 2 regular schedule will take place.
Please arrive not later than 8:50, as we will not wait for late students.
What to Bring?
The equipment, a Hot Chocolate and Blintzes will be provided.
Bring lunch and snack and a few dollars if you wish to buy something from the Cafetria. We are not responsible for lost money; don’t send the kids with bills bigger the $20. (The cafetria offers: Soup $10 (chicken noodle, tomato bisque or potato bacon) and grilled cheese sandwich on whole wheat bread $6.00, Grilled cheese with carrots $10.00, Mac & cheese with carrots, $6.00 Hot Dog with and carrots. Also Snack ($5.00) Fruit, baked good and hot drink.)
Wear a jacket that is water proof and proper for ski (not a fabric jacket that might get wet). Dressing up in layers is recommended.
Waterproof gloves (no wool/fabric gloves)
Neck warmer (no scarf)
Extra socks (very important!)
Please label EVERYTHING as kids tend to lose stuff.
We will be back around 5:00pm (please don’t call the school to check if we arrived, we leave the resort at 3:00pm and arrival time depends on traffic).
Please be reminded that this coming Friday, January 24th, is Public Skating. Don’t forget to bring your equipment.
We would love to see all parents of grade 1 coming to watch their children perform on January 29- the Russian Winter Show @4:00pm. Our students work very hard to memorize their part, and seeing their parents in the audience, watching the pride in their eyes and getting standing ovations means a lot to them.
