Dear Students and Parents,
We have started our second semester and we are all very excited. Whether you are moving on to university, or staying with us for next year, always remember that your ability to think and to use your mind is a gift. Treat your mind well. Be selective about what you put in to it, build on good ideas, get sufficient sleep and good diet to be able to always function mentally at your optimum. Knowledge is power, so use it wisely. Your parents are also a gift. Not everyone has parents to back them. Parents love you in a unique way that no one else ever will. They are the foundation of all authority figures in your life, so accept and respect their role in your life. If you do this, you will find that you will be able accept and respect others who have authority over you throughout life.
At UMCA we have given you our best for your journey. We have given you the best instruction and sent you off with the best advice. We look forward to hearing about your continued success as you go forward. We would love to hear how you are doing. Thank you for coming on board at UMCA. Keep safe and successful second semester 2020!
With warmest regards, and best wishes to all of our high school students from all UMCA’s teachers and staff.

Smoking in School Area
We know that our students don’t smoke however, we want to remind you again about the Smoke-Free Ontario Act, 2017. Smoking and vaping is not allowed in public and private schools, including the grounds associated with the school, and public areas within 20 metres of any point on the perimeter of the grounds of the school. Where a private school is not the only occupant of the premises, then the grounds designated for the school (e.g., a playground) and public areas within 20 metres of any point on the perimeter of those grounds are affected. It is also illegal to sell tobacco and vapour products in public schools and private schools.
UMCA wishes you all a great weekend!!!
