High School Newsletter - October 24, 2019

Dear Students and Parents,

University & College Applications & Scholarships

Please be reminded that today, Thursday October 24th at 4:00pm you will have the third of 3 sessions which will help you with your university and college application and scholarships. This session is mandatory for grade 12 and optional for grade 11 as there will be no other consultation sessions this school year. Today's session will be with Jordan Singer who is an English teacher but also specializes in the application process and with Ms. Alina Pinsky.  This session will focus on Science and Business Programs.

We are looking forward to seeing you!

Parent – Teacher Interview Day

Please note that on Friday, November 15, parents-teachers interviews will take place (from 9:00am-12:00pm, and from 2:00pm-5:30pm, last parent no later than 5:30pm). This is a great opportunity for parents to come to school and speak with their child’s teacher and get a clear picture of their child’s academic achievements. However, it is not mandatory and you should come only if you have questions or concerns. Please sign up with Mrs. Ariela at the front desk. On this day there will be no classes for high school students.

ISU Week

October 28 to November 1 is ISU Week. During this week no classes will run in school for high school students. However this doesn’t mean that this is a week off studying. You will be given many projects in all your subjects that you will have to complete. Therefore, plan your time carefully and don’t leave all your assignments to the last moment. This time, if used wisely, can help you be successful in your midterm exams.

Halloween Party

Get ready to celebrate with us on October 31 the holiday everyone love – Halloween! We are preparing for the students a fun day with lots of fun activities. So come wearing your costume and let’s party! We will also take pictures of all the students with their costumes.

We ask parents of full time students to notify the office (by email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or by phone: 905-763-8622 ext. 2) when a student needs to miss a day/class for any reason.  If a student is missing and we didn’t receive any notification we will have to contact the parents. Please help us make the attendance check easier and efficient and notify us on time.
