UMCA Sunday Club

At UMCA, we believe exposure to various stimulating activities should begin as early as possible, as intellectual nourishment is more effortless during the formative years.

With our small class sizes, our instructors aim to provide an array of curricula that is specialized and challenging for each student. Our learning environment is nurturing and supportive, allowing every student to succeed academically and personally.

Our chess program is designed to introduce, prepare and advance our students. Chess has been proven to develop perspective, elevate creativity and channel concentration. Our classes aim to evolve and progress the strategies behind chess, all while continuously challenging our future masters.

Our math and logic program aims to go above and beyond the curriculum offered at the school. By exposing our students to logic problems, brain teasers and spatial thinking, our students will be challenged yet intrigued during every lesson.

The English and ESL program reassure students of all different levels. Whether you want to enrich, enhance or elevate your English class, our curriculum is designed to fit the needs of all the students. We have the tools and resources to make your transition stress-free for students just learning English!

Chess Club

The benefits of chess are endless! Our chess program is targeted to improve your memory, develop perspective and stimulate your brain via pattern recognition and the emphasis on concentration.  Our instructors help beginner players learn the basics and get comfortable with the board while helping more advanced players with specific principles and strategies to master their next game.

Ping Pong Club

Ping Pong has been an UMCA favourite for almost 20 years! Playing this game improves hand-eye coordination, stimulates mental alertness, tactical strategy and concentration. By introducing table tennis to students as early as Senior Kindergarten, our small class sizes help players improve their skill as early as in one class.

English Enhancement

We offer a warm, happy, and enriching environment in which our students are free to develop at their own pace. With our English program, we help the students enhance their skills and build their confidence. Regarding mistake-free writing and speaking, we believe this skill should continuously be fine-tuned as an essential aspect of expression for the child. Whether perfecting the language or learning it from an earlier stage, developing confidence in another language will be an excellent advantage for your child.

Logic and Mathematical Reasoning

Our logic and math program was designed to allows bright minds to grasp problem-solving skills and outside-of-the-box thinking without frustration. Children will be challenged with fun and tricky brain teasers to help stimulate their senses and ensure they are having fun. We promote divergent thinking, creativity, and learning to think better for themselves. Math is the language of reason. Our program builds reasoning and develops a mentally organized way of thinking.
